The National Gallery of Art, situated in an area bounded by constitution Avenue and the mall, between Third and Seventh Streets, was established by Joint Resolution of Congress Mar. 24,
1937, and opened Mar. 17,1941.
Open daily except Christmas and New Year's from 10 a.m to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 9 p.m . Sunday . Summer, 10 a.m to 9 p.m, noon to 9 p.m on Sunday.
