Keeping well-groomed at all times

The cosmetologist's personal appearance is the best selling point in his/her profession. He/She must be well liked and respected by co-workers and patrons alike and a welcome sight in the parlor. He/She must be well groomed always as an example to those he/she works with and those he/she serves.

The following good grooming practices if observed consistently will give the cosmetologist a pleasing personality.

a. Use a deodorant to keep fresh all day.
b. Take a daily bath or shower.
c. Maintain fresh breath.
d. See that dental problems are attended to.
e. Keep hair neat and well-combed.
f. Wear a fitted uniform.
g. Wear simple, neatly applied and becoming make-up.
h. Keep hands and nails clean.
i. Use while at work low heeled shoes for comfort.
