Life Energy
All life depends on the continuous input of energy. Most chemical reactions in our bodies are tuned to extract energy from food and use this energy to make new cells and keep cells already made alive. In this process food molecules play two roles: first, they contain energy that can be converted to form generally useful for biological reaction: second, they contain molecular structures that can be use to make macromolecules. The energy for all life originates from the sun. Light energy is converted into chemical energy (organic molecules) in the presence of water and minerals. Some of the captured energy is use to make more biomass (plants) to sustain animal life, provide energy to grow and do work (animals walk around), while some energy is lost as heat and waste molecules. The most effective way of converting chemical energy into useful energy to sustain life is respiration. Warm blooded animals have found ways to use the heat to maintain a relatively high body temperature which gives them an advantage in colder environments.

Feeling Different
Nature has a special language. It's a language understood that can beby Indonesians, Malaysians, Japanese, Chinese - in fact by all Asians. Blacks and whites understand it, too. It's a global language which knows neither boundaries nor religious dogmas. It cannot be banned or enforced by any regime. It cannot be monopolized by the bourgeois. It cannot be hoarded as a treasure by the usurer. Prestigious organizations cannot encourage or discourage it. Aging rajahs speak it with immeasurable nostalgia. Nostalgia? Yes. It is a dying language which can be understood by everyone, but it is hardly used by anybody.
An artificial, man-made language has taken its place. This is the language of supersonic jets, deep sea explosions, and the ruthless exposure of Mother Nature's mountains and hills. Nobody ever listens anymore to the language of babbling brooks, the collage of flowers in bloom, and the entourage of heavenly bodies in clear skies. Nobody listens and Mother Nature feels rejected. Her language is dying and she is dying, too. When she dies, the whole of Asia dies. Blacks and whites die, too.

My Thoughts
Ever since the world began, everyone had been trying to make work easier from all- by machinery or by do it-yourself kits. In the year 2002, one has ten times better living conditions than anyone had in the 16Th century. Take for example, cellphones, computer, fax machines, and email, among others. Today, these are a necessity in our homes that we did not have before. If people don't have it, everybody will be at a disadvantage.
There is much to tell about life today. Many think life is better now than four hundred years ago. Still some say, it is much better. But few believed that life was happier and more peaceful then. Are you agree? Have a beautiful day and night.

Showing Love
God show His constant love to those who love him and obey his commands. So, if we want to have God in our life, if we want to enjoy His constant love, for Him to be near us, we must prove that we love Him in return by obeying His commands.
Hence, obedience to God's commandments is very necessary in securing His constant love and the comfort it gives to our life. Sadly, it is this very important thing that many have failed to value because they are busy improving their lot, allowing themselves to be consumed by worldly pursuits.

The Human Voice
Human voice can express difficult ideas through a variety of arrangements of consonant and vowel sounds. It can be also be used for singing. It can combine speech with music, and sing words. With his highly developed voice, man has developed elaborate languages. These allow us to tell each other the most exact details of our thoughts and actions.
The vocal cords are the main sound producers in man. These two small bands of tissue stretch across the Larynx( voice box). One band stretches on each side of the windpipe opening. Muscles in the Larynx stretch and relax the vocal cords.
When we breath, we relax our vocal cords so they form a V-shaped opening that lets air through. When we speak, we pull the vocal cords by the attached muscles, narrowing the opening, Then, as we drive air from the lungs through the Larynx, the air vibrates the tightened vocal cords and sound results.

Meal Service
Finally, you have come to the most enjoyable part of your meal management . . . "taste and see".
The foods that you will arrange on the table for the enjoyment of everyone can still be made more enticing through what is known as table setting.
Table Setting
A table setting creates a certain atmosphere that adds to the enjoyment of meals served. The flatware, dishes, liners and centerpiece are included in a table setting. They are known as table appointments.
An individual place setting is called a cover and would need width of 50-61 cm and a depth of approximately 30 1/2 to 40 1/2 cm. The area of a cover is also determined by site of the table or the placemat, if used. The flatware to be placed in a table setting is determined by the kinds of the service being used - formal or informal.
Sample table setting for breakfast, lunch and dinner were illustrated. Let us have a review of these settings again tomorrow.

Make room for humour
Hello guy's and friends! did you know that laughter can helps clear mind, yes guy's and creative problem solving becomes easier when done with a clear mind. Try it and take it easy.
Creative thinking comes from learning other things, back when paper was made from cloth, someone noticed that wasp nests had a paper-like composition. It led to the realization that paper could also be made from wood. hmmmm. parang malalim ata na words to ah ...parang di ko rin maget hehehehe....

Room Coloration
Room coloration can also be affected by housekeeping problems. In the cities, there is so much smoke, dust and dirt that makes cleaning harder than in less crowded provinces and towns.
Ages of family members should also be considered when choosing colors for the home. Children play outdoors, and when they do, they are likely to bring home with them dust, dirt and mud.
To avoid housekeeping problems, a wise homemaker always considers colorfastness to sun and water when buying household fabrics. Easy care and maintenance should also be given consideration.

Gods smiles on Anacleto
The wonders of science were almost beyond reach of the common masses during the Spanish rule. Few of them ever had the benefit of the collage education. Hence, they were prone to superstitions. Anacleto del Rosario, who came from the ranks of the poor, was a shining beacon. He rose to become the Prince of the Filipino Chemist despite poverty and the limitations of a Spanish-imposed curriculum.
Anacleto was born in 1860 to a humble rope-maker Eugenio del Rosario, and a fruit vendor, Casimira Sales. He was well-loved since he was the only survivor of eleven children of the poor couple.
During his early boyhood, he studied under private tutors, one of whom was a lawyer-uncle. At the age of seven, he mastered the alphabet and learned elementary Spanish. He was such a bright boy that his hardworking parents entertained glowing illusions of his golden future.
Unfortunately, misfortune struck the family in 1872, when Anacleto was barely eleven years old. His father died and his mother became an invalid. Despite his extreme youth and weak body, Anacleto did a man's job to support his sick mother and had to quit his studies. He sold fruits and vegetable in the streets like his mother; he made ropes like his later father; and, later, he worked as a laborer at the electric company in Manila.
Though tired and wavy from the day's work, Anacleto attended to his mother's needs cheerfully. Not even once did he complain the misery and hopelessness. He knew that someday the Lord will send an angel of mercy to help him and his mother in their sad state. His prayers were answered when a rich and kind relative came to their rescue. In 1873, he enrolled Anacleto, then eleven years old, in the secondary course under private tutors, in the Ateneo de Manila. From then on, it was smooth sailing. He passed the trials and God was obviously pleased with him.

Life Insurance as an Inventment?
There's a good deal of controversy about the value of insurance as an investment.Whole life policies, with their fixed premiums and cash value that grows over the course of the year (that can be collected when you decide to terminate the policy or borrowed against up to the current value of the policy),are considered by many to be an effected way to protect a family financially and invest wisely.Term insurance,on the other hand,is a much less expensive type of insurance, and achieves much the same purpose as whole life (of course, only during the "term" of its existence). But there is no cash surrender value or borrowing privilege.Since both current protection and a good future investment are necessary, the consumer must carefully weigh the advantages of life insurance before making a purchase.
How to Read a life Insurance Policy
All life insurance policies, regardless of type, can be divided into 3 parts:
1.Summary-This is the basic agreement of the insured, the face amount of the policy, the beneficiary's name, and premium amount, as well as the type of policy, any riders (additions to the policy you might have bought),and weather or not the cost of the insurance has been figured on a guaranteed basic or a participating basic.
2.Details-Approximately 10 clauses giving the specifics of the policy's operation, such as due date of premium, value of the policy when you surrender it for either cash or a loan, the amount paid at the time of your death, and options for how your beneficiary can receive that money are included.
3.Application-This is a two-fold section that gives personal information about you and lets you make some decisions about how the policy will work.Among typical items covered are what happens in the event of your suicide, whether you engage in dangerous sports or occupations, what tour rights are under the policy, etc.
As with any legal document,it is important to read and understand what you are purchasing. If you need further information,a good source is the America Council of Insurance,1850 K. St.N.W.,Washington,DC 20006.

The Acropolis of Athens, Greece
In the City of Athens, Greece, stands a hill 160 meters high. The hill is the Acropolis. The word ''Acropolis''means ''upper city''.The ancient Greeks used hills as forts, because fighting uphill was hard for their enemies. Handsome temples were built on this hills to honor the gods and goddesses of the Greeks. Many cities in ancient Greece had an acropolis, but the most famous one is Athens.
Over 400 years before Christ, several magnificent marble temples were built on the Acropolis of Athens in Honor of the goddess Athena. The great gatehouse of the Acropolis, called the Propylaea, was the Athenians Favorite building.

The most famous temple is the Parthenon, design by Phidias, one of the most noted architects of all time. Most people think that the Parthenon is one of the most beautiful buildings ever built. But the statue was lost long ago.
Another temple, the Erechtheum, is known for its''Porch of the Maidens''. The six'' Maidens'' are pillars that are statues of woman. The pillars hold up the roof of the porch.
Many parts of the Acropolis temples were destroyed by time and war. But some of them have now rebuilt. People from all over the world go to see the Acropolis.

Meal Planning For The Family
Mealtimes are not only occasions to get the essential nutrients the body needs. It is also an opportunity for families to enjoy each other's company. Today, family members seldom get as much chance to be with each other as they used to. This setup is bought about by the fact that family members have to go to work or attend school during the day such that the evening meal becomes one of the rare times for them to be together. Conversing, sharing one's experiences or events that took place in their own places of work or in school over a well-prepared nutritious meal is an important event that should be shared by the family members. It is therefore necessary to plan meals that are nutritionally adequate and enticingly prepared and served.

Furniture Arrangement
When you decide on a furniture arrangement, always keep in mind your activities and the space available for these furniture. A well furnished room gives a feeling of balance. This can be achieved successfully by alternating sizes. A tall furniture when grouped with a low furniture gives a more pleasing effect than when all tall or all low furniture are grouped together.
IF all furniture are low, choose one furniture and make it appear tall by putting a tall vase of flowers, a picture frame, or a mirror on top. Distribute large items around the room. Avoid concentrating them in one area. There should be balance between the amount of space occupied by the furniture and the space for movement. See to it that the room is well lighted by distributing the lamps (if there is more than one) around the room instead of concentrating them in one area. It is also important to consider the architecture of the room especially when deciding which part will be used as the focal point. A group of furniture, a work of art, a doorway or window may be used as focal point or center of interest.
Large cabinets, chests or drawers should be placed against the walls of the room. This is the reason why there are unfinished at the back. Group furniture for different activities - a sofa and a chair for conversation; a sofa, a snack table, and a TV set for watching television; a desk, a computer, a lamp, a bookshelf for reading and studying etc.
In furniture arrangement, always provide enough space for movement. The room look crowded and cluttered if furniture are arranged very closed together without consideration for easy movement.
In a bedroom, place the bed in such a way that it will receive enough sunlight and air for sanitation purposes. Keep traffic lanes open. Place the head of the bed against the wall or at the center of the room.

Values, Attitudes and Interests
Values, attitudes and interests affect as you grow and change and make choices for your future. Your individuality is reflected on the values you esteem, the attitudes you express, and the things that intrigue you.
Values are learned from one's culture, environment, family, friends and individual experiences. The church, print media and television also play an important role in the formation of individual groups or familial value patterns. Some values are seen held high by a culture. Take the Filipino family as an example. It gives so much importance to education as a liberating factor from poverty.
